Large room however in dire need of an update on the beds and cleanliness of the whole place. Had to leave due to issues with breathing and allergies while staying there. The place wasn't full at all and when trying to leave early due to health issues they refused to reimburse for the time we were scheduled for. Fought and managed to get half the money back. Never had this when the place has so much room (except for the rooms taken by the owner's family). Never going back.
Everything needed is clean, the beds, kitchenette, bathroom, carpet; all clean. Look up and there are a few small cobwebs. Staff is super friendly and helpful! Outside of town proper, nice new grocer 2 blocks. Yes, would recommend.
Always stay here while on business, nice big flat screen TVs, has everything I need. Just wish the Wifi was stronger and faster.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!I would not give any stars if this was an option. We booked in with them for 3 nights through an online booking site. The pictures and write up were good. It looked like a quaint mom and pop motel. Once we arrived it was quite a different story. The photos and write up were both from years ago from a previous owner. The room definitely not worth half the money it was listed for. the beds were horrible, no coffee maker, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the towel rack fell right off the wall, the bugs in the room. The manager/owner Jenny who likes to claim she is just a worker is a liar, rude and does not care at all about customer service. She absolutely refused to refund us for 2 of the night as we were not staying there any longer and then when I repeatedly asked to speak to the manager or owner as she claimed she wasn't, she told me she was going to cal 911 on me because I told her I didn't want to deal with her anymore. We had also heard her try to sell our room to someone else so she was trying to get double revenue although she denies it. She is bad for business and a disgrace to the customer service industry!!
This little charmer is a bit tired, however, It is a great location, quiet, and great space. You can choose from your very own self contained cabin, self contained hotel room or just a room to sleep!!The owner Jenny, will go above and beyond for you. The rooms are very clean, and tidy. She is readily available if you need anything. I stayed here for a long weekend and it was great! There is an area with a Bbq and patio furniture to relax with friends. The price was very affordable also. Liquor store beside you, local small grocery and great coffee down the street. Thank you Jenny and the Marland team for a great stay! I will be back.
